Our family has been your neighbor for over 60 years. Generations have grown up right here in the Twin Cities areas.
Our Head Arborist, Matt Filla, lives in the Lake Elmo area with his family. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire with a degree in Biology that complemented his love of nature, trees, and the environment in his home state of Minnesota.
Green Goddess Trees was a natural path for Matt to do something he loved. He is the lead Certified Arborist in our company, is an ISA Certified Arborist, and a member of the International Society of Arboriculture. His company, Green Goddess Trees, is in good standing with the state of Minnesota and licensed with the Minnesota Department of Agriculture to handle any pest, tree, mosquito & tick treatments available in the state.
For Matt, being surrounded by beautiful trees and living things means being healthier and at peace. Having seen how a majestic tree that took decades to reach its full height can be lost in just a season, Matt has dedicated himself to protecting these living landmarks.
His family's heart-wrenching experience with diseases spread by ticks and mosquitoes drives him to supply eco-friendly treatments, so outdoor enjoyment can be worry-free.
A deep-rooted connection to the environment is common among Minnesotans and is a Filla family tradition. This reverence for the land has been nurtured over sixty years on their waterfront property in the Lake Elmo area. Our Mission
Our mission is to protect and improve the health of your trees, shrubs, and lawn by fixing problems at the source—not just masking symptoms. We use Minnesota-licensed plant healthcare applicators and ISA Certified Arborist expertise to diagnose issues early and apply targeted, responsible treatments. We focus on prevention and long-term plant strength so your landscape stays healthier with fewer costly surprises. Many of our Minnesota trees take 20-80 years to reach full maturity, and it is heartbreaking to have a loss in just one season that could have been prevented. We are so confident in our Arborists, that we offer a money-back guarantee.
If a treatment fails to work during the guarantee period on a tree, we will either re-treat or refund 100% of your cost for that tree. This guarantee applies to mosquito and tick applications. As a local family-owned business, we keep service straightforward, high-quality, and worth every penny.
